Dexter Loken started his literary journey writing a science fiction novel while working as a math teacher in Tanzania. This led to a certification in publishing from the Vermont College of Fine Arts and an MFA from Long Island University in Brooklyn in Creative Writing and Publishing. This schooling, combined with his degree in Applied Mathematics, led him to teach highschool mathematics in Pebble Beach, CA. Then he became a teacher of mathematics and literature on a ship sailing the Atlantic. He has work published in Hunger Mountain, Soul-O Travel Magazine, and voidspace zine. He spends much of his free time in nature or exploring a country new to him. He wishes to spend his limited time experiencing as much as he can. Stay tuned for his next strange turn.
